Command Post Node (CPN) and Satellite Transportable Terminal (STT) / WIN-T - Team Leader
Team leader in charge of a four to five man team utilized to install, operate, and maintain CPN and STT equipment in remote locations to provide voice and data services to customers. Numerous successful deployments and awards given for exceptional performance. Tasked with system maintenance and installing system updates.
Appliances utilized include Cisco routers and switches, Cisco CallManager, Cisco VoIP phones, General Dynamics KG-175D, Windows Server, and cryptographic keys.
Battalion S6 Shop Technician
Help Desk technician in charge of battalion level network access, security, and maintenance. Roles of responsibility include installing and setting up personal computers, granting network access to resources including voice and data, installing cryptographic keys to maintain security, installing peripheral devices like printers and plotters, assembling Cat 6 cable and running it through plenum space, backing up switch and router configurations, and responding to technical assistance requests.

Computer / Network Support - Freelance
- Setting up, maintaining, and securing SOHO networks for friends and family. Hands on experience with many router brands including TP-Link, Linksys, Belkin, Netgear, D-Link. Experience flashing routers to DD-WRT firmware, setting up multiple node AP for extending coverage.
- Building and fixing personal computer systems including: installing components (RAM, CPU, MOBO, HDD / SDD), diagnosing hardware and software problems, and fixing them.
- Hobbyist with experience using many popular virtualization software including: VMware, Hyper-V, and VirtualBox. Experience connecting these VMs together in a virtual network and setting up an entire Windows Server infrastructure.
- Experience building fully functional Windows Server infrastructure including: Offline Root CA, Subordinate CA, DNS, File Server, Active Directory Infrastructure, BrancheCache, Clients, and a VPN Server with a connection to remote site.
- Building and maintaining a SQL database with multiple tables and over 100,000 records. Experience writing queries to pull information from said database.
- Writing simple programs in Python 3 for calculation and record keeping.
- Configuring and maintaining a home Samba server and open source ad blocking service on a Raspberry Pi.
About Me
I have over ten years IT experience in many different areas. I am also a technology hobbyist who enjoys tinkering with things. In my near future I would like to become a network administrator for a medium to large business: planning security, network infrastructure, server implementation, and virtual machines.
